Would love to come back but only if house is deep cleaned.
The location was perfect. The house is great but needs a deep cleaning - all carpets upholstry bedding closets drawers. Toy and Game corner needs cleaning out and throwing away of broken items and gamespuzzles with missing pieces. Hall closet was horrible - dirty disorganized nothing was usable. Kitchen is missing a large pot for cooking spaghetti and needs a set of steak knives for 8-12 people.

Thank you for your comments and suggestions This home was spring cleaned but already had weeks of tenants prior to your arrival The closets and drawers are cleaned however as we see in vacation homes items quickly become disorganized since no one really remembers where things go The owners will be coming down next month for their family week and will address reorganizing some of the items

We had a wonderful time because all our family was together.
We meet at Bethany Beach every summer-daughter and family from New York-son and family from atlanta Ga. and another son from Virginia. This is a very special time for the family. This is our 14th summer together at Bethany.

Great location crowded beach.
We have been coming to Bethany Beach for 35 years so we know the area and where we want to stay. This location was possibly the best ever. A bike shop is right around the corner and the beach is a short walk. You are close enough to walk to Bethany avoiding the parking hassle. But your beach area is public beach and it can get very crowded. Having stayed in so many properties over the years this was not one of the cleaner houses. There were sticky rings on the kitchen counters sand visible on the hardwood floors and the bathroom drawers had hairs and other disgusting things in them. Although the toilets had been cleaned they had obviously not been wipped off very well. The hardwood floors in the main living area were so bad I ended up going out and buying a mop and cleaner and cleaning them myself. There was a broken mop in the closet The kitchen was lacking in a few things i.e. no strainer not many wine glasses no large bowl to mix in but overall was ok. The owner may need to replace the refrigerator soon as it had trouble with keeping cool. Overall we were pleased with this house. I just wish it was cleaner upon arrival.

nice...good location
Overall nice home great location...good layout. A few commentsThe house phone number- neither Wilgus or the owner provided an accurate phone number...would have been better to have that info before arrival owner should give serious thought to adding 2nd means of egress from the home..only one exit!! Not good in case of fire and probably would not meet curent codes - in the interium add a portable fire escape ladder that could be used off the back deck. some of the outdoor furniture cushions are over due for replace cleanleness probably a 6 on a 10 scale. The cleaning crew hit the obvious needs but beyond that the house needed a thorough cleaning. The reply that it is late in the season is a poor excuse ...especially with the late season rates. I would prefer a cleaning crew come and spend a few hours while we are in residence than the quick inout between tenants. So while we had no major issues a few tweaks would make a big difference.

Our extended family treasures the week together at the beach.
A very clean and convient home near the beach and close enough to town for everyone in our family parents children and grandchildren to walk to town.

Great location nice floor plan
This is a bright and airy cottage with a great floor plan and perfect Bethany location. It is within walking distance of the Boardwalk and Bandstand with beach access at the end of the street. The kitchen and living room along with all the decks allowed everyone to have their space but also accomodated four generations at dinner. The difference between 4 and 5 stars had to do with little easy to fix things that would definitely bump this house up a notch. The outside shower was the biggest disappointment. There were no hooks inside to hang bathing suits or towels on and no shelves for shampoo etc. Latches were loose and my hubby fixed the springs. There was also no clothes line to hang bathing suitstowels on the quantity and quality of beach chairs was lacking and refrigerator ice maker was not working well. Bedroom curtains were skimpy and didnt close well so forget about sleeping in while on vacation. All little things that a little TLC could fix. But the screened porch is to die for and the crows nest is a lovely place to watch the sunset. All in all a wonderful time was had by all.

Perfect location perfect house!!
I chose this house in particular for its location relative to the beach and to downtown Bethany. Its a bit more of a of a walk to downtown than it appears on the map but thats made up for but the fact that the beach here is less crowded. The walk to the beach is very short and only requires you to cross one minor street.The house is perfect for a large family. Lots of bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. The beach decor is bright and cheery. The open kitchengreat room allows everyone to be together during meal preparation dining and hangout time. Our family loved to sit out of the many decks and enjoy the evenings. The toyplay area was great to keep our kiddos 4 6 occupied when we needed it. Some missing puzzle pieces broken toys etc but hey thats just like home anyway All in all a great house! Would highly recommend to any big group looking for a fun week at the beach!

A great house 12 block from the beach!
We rented this house to attend a wedding in Bethany Beach. We all traveled from various parts of Canada and were really impressed with the house. Large and very clean. There was plenty of of room to cook and eat in the great room or relax on one of the four maybe five balconies. Great location steps from the beach and a short walk into town. As we were told about most properties in the area renters must supply their own bed linens which we found a little unusual.
