Summary:
Wilgus Associates Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our Insurance
division. In this position you will act as an Outside sales agent selling property and casualty insurance to
Businesses and Individuals.
In the Insurance Producer Role, you will need to be comfortable making cold calls with potential clients.
You will need to make a persistent and consistent effort to meet new clients through cold calling,
referral and networking groups. As with any profession, education and insurance knowledge is a big
factor in obtaining new clients and maintaining client relationships. You will need to be willing to learn
all you can about the insurance industry. Your prospective and existing client base will look to you to
understand, research and offer coverage options based on their particular needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with prospective clients by making contacts by phone, email, in person and/or
Social Media
- Make Appointments and follow up on any leads
- Meet and discuss with potential and current clients their particular insurance needs by researching
current coverage and available options
- Gather information from clients and assist clients with completing applications for underwriting-
- Work with several Insurance carriers and provide information needed to obtain underwriting
approval.
- Propose coverage options and procure needed documents and signatures to bind coverage with the
chosen carrier
- Provide superior customer service
- Work with staff to maintain a positive ongoing relationship with clients
- Perform other duties relating to being an insurance agent
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Sales – Prior Business to Business Sales Experience Preferred
- Property & Casualty Insurance License (willing to assist the right candidate in obtaining license)
- Strong communication skills –written, verbal and listening
- Desire to succeed and maintain self-motivation
- Ability to remain organized, multi task, and meet deadlines
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable Motor Vehicle record
- Reliable Transportation
- Experience with MS Office, use of a CRM and Data Entry
