Ellendale

Ellendale is the "Gateway to Delaware's Resort Beaches".  Delaware Route 16, also known as Beach Highway,  is “Main Street” in Ellendale.  The primary thoroughfare to  Delaware's resort beaches from the west,  Route 16 connects Ellendale with Milton to the east and Greenwood to the west.  The Ellendale State Forest Picnic Facility is located on DuPont Boulevard just south of Main Street in Ellendale, and is on the National Register of Historic Places.  This picnic area is the last of its kind left in existence!
