Laurel Real Estate

Laurel

Laurel is home to more historic buildings than any town in Delaware with 800 on the National Historic Record.  Laurel is well-known for its water recreation opportunities, including Delaware’s first state park, Trap Pond State Park.  The park offers camping, nature and bike trails, paddle boats, canoes and fabulous bird watching.  Over 100 bird species have been identified here.  Nearby is Trussum Pond, one of Delaware’s most photographed and painted wonders.  Paddle down nearby James Branch for a rare look at untouched ancient forests, including the northernmost natural stand of bald cypress trees in North America. The two tallest trees in Delaware can also be found here.
